Civil Engineering Designer
Debbie was born and has lived her entire life in Sumner County, TN and has two sisters, who now live in Arkansas. She attended Tennessee Technological University and started her engineering career with Consoer, Townsend in Nashville, TN and has worked in the civil engineering field for over 40 years. She has worked in many aspects of civil engineering including water and sewer infrastructure design, site and subdivision development, road and drainage design as well as survey processing. These projects have been in various locations, including Rochester, NY, Charlotte, NC, Nashville, TN and many cities in TN.
In high school, Debbie participated in basketball, track and was a member of the National Honor Society. She still enjoys sports, especially college football. Debbie and her husband, Ronnie (deceased) were married for almost 45 years. They shared a passion for horses and they even met when Ronnie was riding a horse down Debbie’s road. Debbie had owned and shown at the local saddle clubs since she was very young. This common bond led them to raising and showing quarter horses. They showed locally at the saddle clubs and then progressed to showing at AQHA shows. Together they were able to accomplish far more than ever dreamed, which included raising an AQHA World Champion, a Congress Champion, multiple AQHA champions along with many other award winners. Debbie still competes and shows at the AQHA events.
